Brand New Day

Sharo Perry has the honor of being Josie Music Awards Artist of the Year 2019 for the R&B/Soul category. Sharo was nominated for 3 Josie Music Awards 2019, which recognizes the work of Independent Music Artists'. Shy was nominated for Artist of the Year, Vocalist of the Year, and Album of the Year for her new album Brand New Day. Shy Perry produced her 3rd album called "Brand New Day" that has already received airplay in U.S. cities and France, The Netherlands, and the UK. Brand New Day has reached #30 for the “Most Played Album Top 40” on the Independent Blues Broadcasters Association (IBBA) in the UK for November 2018. Sharo's music foundation is R&B, Soul, Pop, and Blues and she likes to call her music "The Great Grandchild of the Blues". While creating a new and modern sound, the album with its sing-along lyrics and appeal to all generations, is an album that will be enjoyed for many years. It receives audience approval each time songs are performed. Shy was on tour for 3 weeks in the US from coast to coast to promote “Brand New Day”. Shy was also nominated for a Josie Music Award for "Artist of the Year" 2016.

Sharo Perry and Bill Howl-N-Madd Perry have traveled extensively as a duet and full band for years. Sharo performed 3 shows at the 11th Mississippi Delta Blues Festival in Caxias Do Sul, Brazil. Sharo performed on the Magnolia Stage that was exclusively for women. Sharo and Bill had a 6 date tour with shows in Lajeado, Santa Maria, and Porto Alegre. They were one of the main musical acts on European Blues Cruise that sailed on the Mediterranean Sea from Marseille, France to Naples, Rome, and Bastia, Italy. Sharo and Bill performed in Marseille and had 5 shows on the ship Croisieres De France. Sharo and Bill were on a month long tour starting in Mississippi, to Phoenix, AZ and performed at The Rhythm Room, Haywood/Russell Festival in Haywood, CA, and numerous clubs in New Mexico and Colorado.

Howl-N-Madd and Sharo Perry were the headline act for "An Evening With The Blues" festival in Bolzano, Italy. They performed to sold out shows and had rave reviews on many radio, newspaper, and television stations like RAI.

As a teen, Sharo Perry began performing professionally  with her family band The Perry's. The Perry's consisted of her talented brother, pianist Bill Perry, Jr., and her legendary father, guitarist Bill Howl-N-Madd Perry. She cut her first 2 songs "Having Fun” and "Little Bad Kid” when she was 8 years old at Village Records in Los Angeles, CA. She sang lead, background vocals and played bass keyboard on both songs. As a young adult, Sharo cut her first solo album called Voodoo Charm. She wrote and arranged several songs on that album. Sharo has assisted with the creation and production of 9 albums.  Sharo's solo albums, Brand New Day, SHY, and Voodoo Charm have been playing constantly around the world.  

Sharo, her father, and brother were immortalized on a Mississippi Blues Trail Marker in Oxford, MS for their contribution to music and the blues.

Sharo, Howl-N-Madd, and Bill Perry, Jr., had the honor of performing at Lincoln Center after the documentary film "True Delta" by Erickson Blakney and Lee Quinby. Sharo and Howl-N-Madd were part of the Flaming Lips success in making it into the Guinness Book of World Records for the most performances in one day. The Perry's were featured on the Blessissippi Bluesical at Ground Zero Blues Club hosted by Morgan Freeman and  The 3 hour event was simulcasted online via, XM Radio's Bluesville channel and Link TV available on DirecTV and Dish Network. Sharo was the co-host of a television show called "Blues Trekkers” with Bill Perry, Jr. They traveled across the Mid-South interviewing blues legends like Honey Boy Edwards and Pinetop Perkins.  Sharo was in an independent comedy film called Scenes from the Underground written and produced by Bill Perry, Jr. She also edited the movie. 

The Perry's have had the fortunate opportunity to open for legendary bluesman BB King at his homecoming in Indianola, MS. The Perry's were on the Grammy winning single "Crawlin' Kingsnake", by Buddy Guy (album-Blues Singer).  The Perry's have entertained many through-out the years at the Sunflower Festival, Dodgeville Blues Fest, MS Valley Fest in Davenport and music festivals/clubs through-out the Mid-South.

Sharo has modeled for numerous runway shows in NYC like the Shigoto Fashion Launch, with founder/designer Jasper Momma and presented by Polina Raygorodskaya of Polina Fashions. The high-profile fashion show included MTV, Vogue, Teen, Marie Claire, Zink Magazine and many others. Sharo modeled for the Obie Awards-Block party at Webster Hall in Tribeca, BB King's in Times Square, and Sohung Fashion Show in Greenwich Village. Sharo modeled for the 2nd Annual Talent/Fashion Showcase presented by Swift Runway Models Production. The proceeds went to the Ronald McDonald House, NYPD School Safety Division of Manhattan North Command and MNC Sunshine Club.  She was featured in and modeled for several magazines and newspapers in Hong Kong like HK Magazine and the Hong Kong Times as well as newspapers in Jakarta, Indonesia.  Sharo recently had the honor of being a trophy girl at the Blues Awards in Memphis, TN.
